Planning a gate automation Perth project

Start with accurate site measurements and a quick assessment of the ground levels, driveway layout, and power availability. Decide whether a solar-powered or mains-powered motor suits your site best.
Consider the accessories that enhance safety and usability - safety beams, loop detectors, remotes, or keypad entry systems.
Choosing the right motor for your gate type is essential:
• Sliding and cantilever gates use geared drives with track or rail systems.
• Swing gates require linear or articulated arm motors for smooth operation.
Our team can help you select the right motor setup for your space and usage pattern.

Installation and total cost considerations

Supply-only prices cover the gate and motor components but exclude foundation work, installation, electrical wiring or compliance checks.
Installation costs vary depending on driveway access, existing structures, and civil works required. For an accurate quote, arrange a site review and detailed estimate that includes your preferred gate model, automation setup and finish options.
Working with a Perth-based team means faster communication, easier coordination and responsive after-sales support.

To keep your gate running smoothly year-round:
• Regularly inspect tracks, rollers and hinges for debris or wear.
• Lubricate moving parts as needed.
• Test safety sensors and motor alignment periodically.

Although we don't provide servicing and maintenance services, we have an array or resources and helpful referral partners to help you keep your gate operating smoothly.

FAQs

Yes, sloped driveways are one of the most common situations we work with. Sliding and cantilever gates are particularly well suited to uneven ground since they don’t need to swing over the slope. We’ll assess your site and recommend the right gate type and motor setup for your specific layout.

Both are great options for driveways with limited swing space, but they work differently. A sliding gate runs along a track on the ground, while a cantilever gate is suspended and glides without touching the ground, making it better for gravel, uneven surfaces, or areas where debris could block a track. We’ll help you decide based on your driveway surface and usage.

Absolutely, solar-powered gates are ideal for this situation. If running mains power to the gate is impractical or expensive, a solar-ready motor with battery backup keeps everything running reliably. Perth’s sunny climate makes solar a dependable option for most properties.

In many cases, your existing gate can be automated without replacing it entirely. We’ll assess the gate’s condition, weight and structure to confirm it’s compatible with a motor.

Beyond the motor itself, the most popular and practical additions are safety beams, loop detectors, remote controls and keypad entry systems. These aren’t just convenient; safety beams and sensors are important for households with children or pets.

Our installers take care of the gate hardware and automation setup, but the mains electricity connection must be completed by your own licensed electrician in accordance with WA regulations.

Timelines vary depending on whether you're going with a readymade gate or a custom design. Readymade gates can move quickly, while custom aluminium gates require manufacturing time. Once we know your requirements, we’ll give you a realistic timeframe. Being a local Perth business means faster communication and fewer delays.

A supply-only package covers the gate panels and motor components. It doesn’t include installation labour, any civil or foundation work, electrical wiring, or compliance requirements.

Yes, it absolutely does. The motor needs to match your gate’s weight, width and how frequently it’ll be used. Swing gates use linear or articulated arm motors, while sliding and cantilever gates use geared drive systems. Over- or under-specifying a motor can lead to premature wear or poor performance.

Congratulations! Last Saturday was my third visit to your business in as many months and each time the outcome
has been nothing short of amazing. Your staff are friendly and well mannered – your stock is easily accessible and well displayed. I’m not sure what your company mantra is with regard to customer service – but keep on doing what you’re doing – it works! I intend to use your business as much as possible and will refer your wonderful service and product range accordingly. In an age where good customer service has become something of a thing of the past – it’s refreshing to find a local business where good service seems to be simply part of the way the business is done. Thank you.

Greetings. I want to thank you and to congratulate you on the excellent service I received today. Late in the afternoon I walked in to your office with the broken ram mechanism from my electronic gate. I fully expected to be told something like “Sorry, they don’t make that any more and we can’t get the spares.” But no, someone said “Where’s Amir?” Amir turned up, looked at the problem, fished a recycled part out of a spares box, and right there and then fixed it. 20 plus GST and I was back in my car in 15 minutes! The gate works fine again now. Old-fashioned service like that is something you don’t often get nowadays. Thank you very much!
